The Bosom of a Woman
A poem and drawing created after Sexual Betrayal Discovery Day #1, 2022
The bosom of a woman
can hold so much...
A broken heart
mended over and over
with golden paint along the cracks
Engorged breasts
swollen and tender
with an overflowing need
to nurture
A hollow pit
left bottomless
by the earliest memory
of Mother Hunger
A bucket
filled with bittersweet tears
from the blame, the shame
from all the longing
the disappointments
the pain
the joy
the awakening
A fantasy bra
laced, adorned and dedicated
to the impossible healing dream
of attracting Prince Savior
to lift her out of the abyss
out of the quicksand
the dark hole
someone, pleaseā¦
answer her insatiable bid
for closeness!
Embracing her own bosom
Leaning into the gaping hole
With a fluttering heart
She comes face-to-face
with her crying, pleading soul.
Agasp, she sees
the face of an innocent child
and hears a soft whisper in her ears:
"Take me in your bosom
Hold me tight
You are the only one
who can rescue me."
